Glenda McKay is an Athabascan artist from Alaska who learned wilderness survival skills, plus sewing and beading from her grandmothers and aunts. She puts all those skills to work in her extremely detailed dolls and carvings.

This is a miniature Athabascan Two Winds Mask. Note the two faces, one right side up and one upside down, making this an especially powerful mask. Carved from fossil mastodon ivory, with inlaid eyes of baleen and walrus ivory, polar bear fur, and caribou sinew ties. The mastodon ivory has fantastic patterns!

1 1/2" high x 9/16" wide x 1/4" deep; 2" deep including fur
