Dennis Pungowiyi, Siberian Yup'ik carver, Ivory and bone Halibut Trio
This is a fascinating carving, including two halibut carved from ivory (one fresh ivory, one old ivory), mounted on a base of bone which has a bas relief halibut carved on it. The sculpture is held up by a post made from baleen. Early 21st century.
