Puffins live in coastal waters of cold climates, including off the shore of Alaska. This carving of a puffin rookery by an unidentified artist shows two versions of birds. We know the ones with black and with orange beaks are puffins. We don't know if the white and black birds are young puffins. Regardless, this is a fine looking carving fit for any collection.
