Kewa Jewelry Mary Tafoya Turquoise Necklace with Corn Beads
Mary Tafoya creates innovative designs in mosaic which sets her apart from most other Santo Domingo pueblo artists. Occasionally, her necklaces do not include mosaic work, of which this is an example.
This necklace is is mostly turquoise, with a lovely splash of red spiny oyster shell beads on either side of the sterling silver clasp. Four corn kernel beads comprise the centerpiece.
