Dolly Barnes learned how to weave from her late mother, renowned basket maker Molly Neptune Parker.
This basket is one of the few we have carried by Ms. Barnes that doesn't include flowers on the cover, a signature of hers as well as her mother, Molly Neptune Parker. Instead, it is adorned with a curl weave and a hoop finial on the cover made of sweetgrass. There are a few touches of a bronze color on the cover, as well as a bronze colored bottom.
