This walrus head was carved from the mineralized jawbone of a very, very large walrus. The tusks are carved out of walrus tusk. The plus in the title is a bas relief carving of a bowhead whale along the top and side. The sculpture rests on the walrus' tusks. Walrus and whale eyes are inlaid baleen.
