A powerful sculpture depicting a bowhead whale and an eagle, two icons of Alaskan wildlife. The whale is carved in the round, while the eagle is carved in relief into the surface of a large whale bone. The details in the animals are exquisite.
The wooden base is inlaid with small disks of walrus tusk, and includes the organic shapes of a burl in one corner - call 207 423-8473 for additional photos.
