Sarah Sockbeson is one of the top Wabanaki weavers today. Her tight weaves are impeccable, and her sense of color is outstanding. Sockbeson often uses finials made from deer antler, as is true on this fine basket.
This is a miniature basket with a very pleasing combination of orange (maybe coral color) and grey dyes combined with natural colored curls.
