Side Mosaic earrings by Mary Tafoya Kewa Santo Domingo

Mary Tafoya creates innovative designs in mosaic which sets her apart from most other Santo Domingo pueblo artists. The earrings contain turquoise, spiny oyster shell, gaspeite, pipestone, and more.

These earrings are what the artist calls her side mosaic style, where there are two two or three sections: a stack of materials on one side or both sides and, in this case, one central material.
