Side Mosaic earrings by Mary Tafoya Kewa Santo Domingo with Composite Materials

Mary Tafoya creates innovative designs in mosaic which sets her apart from most other Santo Domingo pueblo artists. These earrings include a composite material, gaspeite, spiny oyster shell, and more. They are what the artist calls her side mosaic style, where there are two two or three sections: a stack of materials on one side or both sides and, in this case, a larger section of composite material alongside the stacked section.
