This is a miniature basket made by Theresa Secord, who was founding director of the Maine Indian Baskemakers Alliance. She is an excellent weaver; this basket features sweetgrass as the weavers (horizontal material), with black ash standards and other areas. The periwinkle blue color creates a very pleasing contrast with the green sweetgrass.
