Vintage Alaskan Inuit Eskimo Swan Lewis Iyakitan Sr. (attr.)

An elegant swan carved from walrus tusk with scrimshaw features. We believe this to be by Alaskan Eskimo/Inuit artist Lewis Iyakitan Sr. There are initials lightly scrimshawed on the bottom that appear to be L I. The swan is also in the style of this late artist.

2 1/4 inches long x 1 inch wide x 2 1/4 inches high; circa 3rd to 4th quarter 20th century
