Vintage Native Alaskan Walrus

Carved from walrus tusk, this stout walrus displays a prodigious set of whiskers, as depicted with black scrimshaw. With short-ish tusks, perhaps it is a young walrus whose tusks are not yet fully grown.

Unsigned, we estimate this carving to be ca. 3rd to 4th quarter 20th century

2 inches long x 1 1/8 inches wide x 1 inch high
