A lovely basket by Maliseet artist Amanda Ennis, woven from black ash with sweetgrass trim on the cover. The green splints contrast nicely with the natural ash color.
This basket's price is reduced because there is some red dye on the inside of the basket, visible in the second photo. A small patch of this is visible on the outside, though not in the photos.
The basket does not sit flat; it could benefit from a small soft washer under it.
