Lydia Soctomah's grandmother was renowned basket maker Molly Neptune Parker.
Lydia weaves flowers onto her basket covers, in the tradition of her mother, grandmother, aunt, and siblings. It is wonderful to see a family tradition carried on and extended through the generations.
This basket has rich mauve colors in light and dark shades. The soft curls on the cover provide nice counterpoint to the natural color flowers.
